Applying for a Course: Frequently Asked Questions

Q - Can I reserve a place on a course and send in an application form and payment later?
A - Places are confirmed on a first come first served basis, on receipt of payment and a completed application form. We do not reserve places.

Q - How can I pay?
A - You can pay by cash (although please do not send through the post), postal order, cheque, or by credit / debit card.

Q - Do I have to attend all the sessions listed as part of my course?
A - You will receive a course confirmation letter which will inform you of the sessions you have to attend. If you have already attended an FA Safeguarding Children in Football workshop (formerly known as the FA Child Protection workshop) or Emergency Aid course, you may be able to miss those sessions. However you should attend all other sessions to gain maximum benefit from the course and give yourself the best opportunity of passing.

Q - I have already attended a Safeguarding Children in Football / Child Protection and Emergency Aid workshop, can I miss these sessions?
A - You can only miss the Safeguarding Children in Football / Child Protection workshop if you have already attended a Football Association Safeguarding Children in Football / Child Protection workshop. NSPCC or other related workshops will not be sufficient. If you hold a recognised First Aid Certificate issued by St Johns Ambulance or the Red Cross it will be accepted, so long as it is still valid.

Q - I have attended an FA Safeguarding Children in Football / Child Protection workshop, have I been CRB checked?
A - No, you will only be checked on completion of a CRB application form.
