
The FA Goalkeeping Coaching Award is a Level 1 course introduced as the latest qualification in the Goalkeeping Coaching Education structure.
Who should apply? This qualification is aimed at coaches over 16 years of age who wish to learn the basic technical aspects of Goalkeeping.
What will I learn? On completion of the course you will be able to:
• Coach basic individual techniques • Understand how to develop and improve a Goalkeeper’s technique • Plan and prepare progressive technical practices • Maintain the health and safety of the players and other coaches • Maintain the high standards of conduct to promote Association Football
Pre-Requisite Requirements: All applicants are required to have attended the FA Safeguarding Children in Football workshop (formerly known as the FA Child Protection Workshop) and an Emergency or First Aid Workshop. Copies of these certificates must be sent with completed application forms. There are three on-line distance learning modules which must also be completed before the end of the course; The Soccer Parent, Laws of the Game and Football Administration.
