The FA Safeguarding Children in Football Workshop

We have to remember that football is a game. And when you watch young boys and girls playing this game in schools and clubs at all levels, they are playing because they want to. They have to be looked after and able to enjoy themselves without worrying about being bullied or sworn at or abused in any way. Child protection matters and football is doing the right thing in making sure people in the game know how to put children first.

This 3 hour workshop (formerly know as The FA Child Protection workshop) is designed to share correct practice, and offer you the opportunity to put in place procedures and policies that will benefit every member of your club. Norfolk County FA strongly recommends this workshop for anyone working in football with children or young people.

The workshop will aim to reduce the fear and mystique surrounding child protection and check best practice in a positive learning environment looking at case studies that can minimise the risks for your club.

This workshop is now compulsory for all FA coaches, medics and  referees. Certificates are valid for 3 years.

Workshops cost £23.50 (£20 plus VAT) per person.
