Community and Education Scheme

The aim of the scheme is to increase participation, to promote healthy and active life styles, to use football as a tool to increase education attainment, to promote social inclusion and to challenge social nuisance.

Grant ceiling

The Football Foundation will fund up to £250,000 over five years for community and education projects. Percentage support varies but will not exceed 90% of the total project cost. Applications must have a total project cost of £10,000 or more. Applicants wishing to apply for under £10,000 must refer to the Small Grants Scheme.

Who can apply?

Any none profit-making organisations, Football in the Community or Local Authorities can apply for Community and Education funding.

Individuals may not apply for Community and Education funding.

What does this scheme fund?

• development posts
• education/training opportunities
• facility hire
• equipment
• coaching costs
• promotion costs
• learning centres
• social inclusion projects

We do not fund:
 
• projects delivered during curriculum time
• education resources – i.e. videos/workshops/exhibitions
• one-off tournaments/festivals
• individuals competing in such tournaments
• IT equipment
• purchase of transport
