Girls & Women's Football

Last season the number of girls and women playing in football leagues or cup competitions nationally peaked at over 145,000. There are over 9,000 girls teams across England playing competitive 11-a-side football every week throughout the season. Currently Norfolk has 143 affiliated female teams, many of which compete in the 3 Female Leagues within Norfolk, which are listed below.

Darren Moss, Norfolk County FA’s Girls and Women’s Development Officer, is here to help you with matters relating to leagues, team development, female coach education bursaries, school club link projects, 3 Lions FC Coaching Centre’s, taster sessions and club meetings, to ensure the development of Girls and Women’s Football within the County.

So whether you’re a beginner at Primary School, a teenager who has never played before, or a twenty something who wants to get back involved after not kicking a ball for a few years, there is an opportunity for you!

Fenland Girls League / Eastern Division

Established in 2002 before being reformed in 2003/04, the Eastern Division of the Fenland Girls League enables girls football to continue to flourish on the Norfolk / Cambridgeshire border.
