Norfolk FA - taking football forward in Norfolk
Development

Active Sports

Active Sports supports and enhances the development initiatives of The FA and enables good practice to become standard practice across all Partnership Areas for girls and young women aged 10-16.

The FA benefits from a positive approach to sports equity by widening access to sport, thereby increasing the potential talent base from which to recruit players, coaches, officials and volunteers.

Young female players will benefit from a coordinated programme of quality coaching and competitions enabling them to progress through the available player pathways and realise their full potential.

Active Sports provides the links for girls and young women who have learnt the basics of football, but require the opportunity to access quality coaching and competition to improve and test their personal performance.

The Football Association has invested considerable thought and effort in planning how to make Active Sports work for football, resulting in a detailed framework that we believe will deliver the best results for girls' football.
