The strategy, which will see football in our County transformed between now and 2012, will address four key areas:
- Growth and retention – increasing the number of players and addressing retention
- Raising standards and addressing abusive behaviour – creating a safe and positive environment
- Developing better players – focusing on improving the quality of the 5-11 age group
- Running the game effectively – leading and governing the game
Shaun Turner, Norfolk County FA Chief Executive has overseen the Strategy since it’s conception, and says the a challenge of achieving the targets set down is one all at County Headquarters are ready to meet.
“4-4-3 is the culmination of many months of research and hard work. Through our consultation process we gained the opinion and insight of the people who really matter, those actively involved in grassroots football week in, week out. The feedback we received has gone towards the formation of 4-4-3, the vision for Norfolk County FA, 2008-2012. The easy part is complete, the hard work starts now.”
