The partnership will see City College working closely with the County FA, initially for a three year period, to provide sporting and learning opportunities for young people in our area.
Shaun Turner, Chief Executive of Norfolk FA, said:
“The partnership between the FDC and City College Norwich represents a real and purposeful move by two of the county’s leading organisations to continue working cohesively to challenge young people and provide them with a range of opportunities to develop themselves, in both their sporting and educational development.
“From the very beginning the FDC project has been extremely exciting for the football community in Norfolk. With City College as an additional driving force we will be able to further expand the programmes and initiatives being run to engage with young people, making a real difference to their lives and inspiring them to future success.”
The FDC is currently undergoing refurbishment, with one of the centres 8 small sided pitches and the larger 'Wembley' area now laid with a new 3G surface. The remaining pitches are to be re-laid over the coming fortnight, ahead of the official FDC launch later in the year.
