Fourteen teams, representing a range of your weekly shopping destinations - including Morrisons, Asda, Tesco & Sainsbury's – gathered to see which company had the silkiest skill, rather than lowest prices!
After a hard fought group and knockout stage, Sainsbury’s (Queens Road) and Asda (Norwich) progressed to a tense final, in which Jamie Oliver’s men narrowly emerged victorious with a 1-0 win.
Tournament organiser Steve Nielsen said:
“All the teams played with a good spirit, the anticipated rivalry between the Supermarkets was evidently left in-store and all enjoyed a superb evening of football. Thanks go to all the teams that took part.”
Next up in the tournament calendar at the FDC is the Spring Cup on 28 March – the first to be played on our new 3G surfaces.
