The CWO and YLWO will promote best practice throughout each club and each league playing a key role in dealing with poor practice concerns in line with the club or youth league’s own disciplinary process.
Who should apply?
Club and Youth League Welfare Officers. All candidates must hold a valid FA Safeguarding Children in Football certificate and the FA CRB disclosure.
What will I learn?
The workshop will aim to give you:
- Ability to identify and describe what needs to be in place for youth/mini-soccer/girls clubs and leagues to be living best practice
- Help to understand your role and responsibility and those of other designated persons within football
- Advice on how to deal with concerns about poor practice or abuse
- Ideas on areas that your club can develop in terms of safeguarding the young people and adults and deciding what happens next
How long will it take?
The course will run for 3 hours.
