Whether you want to be a coach, referee, an event organiser, a promoter of the game or a development officer, this programme is here to help you towards your goals.

Are you aged 14-23 years old? Interested in volunteering to develop your leadership skills within football? Looking to gain valuable knowledge and experience in your specific area of interest? This is the programme for you!

With this programme championing young people who voluntarily work towards developing themselves and others within the grassroots game, it provides credible experience which in turn evolves employability, making you stand out from the rest.

The National FA Football Futures programme deliver an annual camp that sees 100 young leaders selected across the country. Since 2010 we have had young leaders attend each year:

All of our young leaders that have gone through the programme voluntarily worked within grassroots football and alongside the support and guidance from the Norfolk FA Football Futures programme have gone on to achieve and continue to strive further. Here are some examples:

Josh Roper & Alex Walpole - Both coach their own grassroots team but also have travelled to the USA to coach & work as football coaches

Mary Harmer – Level 4 Referee
Michael Spinks – FA Mentor for the National Talent Camp & works as a football coach
Megan Smith – Represented the FA at the United Nations on Sport for Development Leadership Camp in Berlin and a member of the National Youth Council as a Project Officer. She also coaches at Chelsea Academy
So many of our young leaders within Norfolk have achieved some unbelievable things not just nationally but locally too. They all contribute to grassroots football developing young players within their clubs and governing the games at the weekends.

The three specific training programmes available this season are to ensure that there is a focus on developing young leaders' specific needs.
Each training programme will be tutored by County FA and FA staff; they will be supporting the young leaders throughout the season and all young leaders will be creating a portfolio to ensure the development is tracked and further support can be provided if necessary.

Norfolk FA Football Futures programme delivers an annual two day camp to recruit new young leaders, to introduce and give them a taste of what the programme has to offer for the new season. To express your interest in this two day camp, please complete the Expression of Interest Form.
