In an effort to help clubs fund new 9v9 goals, that will be required for the forthcoming season and beyond, we are pleased to announce that The FA and the Football Foundation are launching a new grant scheme!

The scheme will cover 50% of the costs towards sets of 16’ x 7’ 9v9 goalposts.

Clubs should contact an approved manufacturer (see guidance notes for details) to identify which goalposts they require, confirm a price (including delivery and VAT if applicable) and then complete the attached application form (located at the bottom of this page).

Once we have submitted the list of clubs applying, the Football Foundation will write to each club and offer them 50% of the cost of the goalposts requested. The club will then need to order and pay the full cost for the goalposts and provide the reference number and receipt to the Football Foundation to redeem their 50% off.

The grant scheme will be administered through a series of funding windows, the initial period being open between Thursday 12th July and 30th September.

We have decided to split this first phase into two separate windows, so that clubs requiring goalposts for playing 9v9 football next season can have these in place for the start of the season. These clubs will need to submit their application to us by Friday 27 July 2012. The second window deadline will be Friday 28 September 2012.
