Cringleford A were victorious in the second annual Barnham Broom Hotel Norfolk FA Veterans League Presentation Day tournament at the FDC earlier today

After an afternoon of entertaining action it was Cringleford A, Cringleford B, Sole & Heel and Wanderers Has Beens who progressed to the knock out stages.

The two Cringleford sides faced each other in the semi finals with the A team progressing whilst Wanderers Has Beens defeated Sole & Heel to reach the last game.

Cringleford A raced into an early lead 2 goal lead in the final, Wanderers Has Beens, one of two teams from Sprowston Wanderers, pulled themselves level before taking a 3-2 lead. However Cringleford equalised late in the game to send the match into extra time where they scored twice more to lift the trophy.

Earlier in the afternoon, Norfolk FA Chairman Richard King presented Sprowston Wanderers and Hellesdon with their trophy and medals for winning the Premiership and Championship divisions respectively in an enjoyable afternoon that was a fitting climax that brought the curtain down on another successful season for the league.
