Youth Futsal Leagues Off to a Flyer

The start of the new year saw with it the announcement of our new Youth Futsal Leagues running at Wymondham Leisure Centre. A total of 14 teams across

Playing Futsal gives players the opportunity to develop technically while the fast paced nature of the game also requires quick decision making and high fitness levels.

Each Futsal League fixture evening is managed by two FA qualified Futsal referees, which ensures the smooth running of the games as well as an opportunity for players to get to grips with a new format and with it new rules.

Futsal League Coordinator and Football Development Apprentice, Harry Diggens, was extremely positive with the progress of the league so far:

“It’s been brilliant to see the players improve from week to week. I believe that Futsal will continue to help improve their technical skill and their decision making while the more they play, the more they will develop their understanding of the game.

“These young players have turned up each week with smiles on their faces, enthusiastic to play and leave excitedly discussing the fixture regardless of the score. The positive atmosphere that the players and coaches create, helps make the league what it is.”
