NWGFL on top of their game
On Tuesday 16 January 2018, the league are inviting all of the team officials of their ladies, U16 and U15 teams to participate in this free to attend workshop, ‘Assisting the Transition into Adult Football’.
Jackie Bushell, a FA County Coach Developer and UEFA A Licensed coach, is full of knowledge and experience within both the male and female game and will be delivering this workshop on the behalf of the NWGFL. This bespoke evening will include theory and a practical session for team managers and coaches to observe and interact within.
The NWGFL understand the barriers that the traditional game faces and are trying to make a positive impact within the female game in Norfolk. They also add: "As a manager the transition from girls to ladies football can be difficult in keeping players on board into the adult game. Many a team is lost, with players walking away. The challenge is ours, as managers, leagues and FA's. So let’s join together and make this our challenge."
Harry Diggens, Football Development Officer (Girls & Women’s) at Norfolk FA, said: "It’s really pleasing to see that the Norfolk Women’s & Girls Football League are offering a bespoke CPD session for their teams and club officials. With the current struggles of transitioning youth teams to the adult game, this event will give the attendees the right tools they may need to do this. This is a great opportunity for Norfolk female teams to get involved and carry on the legacy you have created."
