Leathes Prior Veterans League Bulletin - Matchday 4

Take a look at all the results from the fourth round of fixtures. Also have a look at the possibility of an Over 45's Division. 

Welcome to the fourth bulletin of the season where we will take a look at the action over the last month.

Veterans League Review
Horsford have won three from three in the last month to move to the top of the table with Cringleford just behind in second place having won twice. North Walsham Town and Attleborough Town prop up the table with Silver Fox just above them in sixth place. Martham sit top of the Championship in their debut season with three wins from three with a 6-0 win against Easton St Faiths in October in their only game of the month. Mulbarton are in second place after two wins from two including a 6-3 win against Wymondham. Easton St Faiths are currently bottom of the division with zero points but have only played two games so far. Mundford Exiles are the inform team in League One with back to back wins in the last month against table toppers Sole & Heel and Wensum Albion. Sole & Heel sit two points clear of second place Mundford with their win coming against Sheringham to inflict their first ever league defeat as a Veterans team! East Harling sit top of the table with six points from a possible six. Their most recent victory came against Swaffham Town as they won 3-1. Necton sit second in the table with four points as they drew with Micawbers Tavern 2-2 in October. Swaffham Town currently sit bottom of the table with zero points from their first two games. Y.B.V Costessey United have won three from three with the most recent win coming against Downham Town by four goals to one. Fakenham Town sit just below in second also with nine points with their most recent win also coming against Downham 5-1. Erpingham United and Morley & Deopham both sit bottom with zero points. Match Confirmation
All teams must confirm with the other club the details of the game which includes confirming with the referee. All clubs should have the league handbook which can also be accessed on Full Time here.

Upcoming Fixtures
We have 8 fixtures this weekend on the 18th, 8 fixtures on the 25th, 4 fixtures on the 2nd and 7 fixtures on the 9th. All of the fixtures are on Full Time here.

Referee Reviews
Just like in any game there are always three teams that make up any game with the referee ensuring that a game can go ahead. We have had a number of good marks from clubs over the last month with Paul Gibson, Anthony Collins and Ken Reeves receiving the highest marks. Jason Ding and Matt Hudson lead the way with the highest overall marks so far this season. Keep up the good work!

Veterans Cup – 3rd Round
The draw for the 3rd round of the Veterans Cup was made last Monday live at Diss Town with 15 teams from the league competing in the next round. The draw can be seen on the Norfolk County FA website here.

Over 45’S Division
The league are currently investigating the possibility of running an Over 45’s division. We have therefore created a survey to gauge the interest from players and whether they would like to play in the division. Please can you pass this onto the relevant people at your club or even people who you think may be interested but not at your club.
