WORLDWIDE FOOTBALL TOUR OPERATORS PARTNER WITH NORFOLK FA TO SUPPORT YOUTH FOOTBALL

Norfolk FA’s well known youth County Cup Competition, the Stuart Dracup Cup, is getting an international boost after being sponsored by worldwide tour providers Soccer@Sea.

The partnership will see Norfolk FA and Soccer@sea, a football tour organisation founded and run by Steve and Karen Everitt, enter into a mutually beneficial partnership which will include the sponsorship of the U14 County Cup competition through to June 2020.

The competition, previously known as the Minor Cup, was fondly renamed in 2014 after the passing of former Norfolk FA Chairman and Life Vice President Stuart Dracup.

Soccer@Sea prides itself on being the ultimate football academy. The organisation promotes an innovative new concept of hosting training sessions and 5-a-side competitions, as well as providing coaching from accredited professional international coaches; all on board cruise ships worldwide.

The tour operators which are planning to run their next football cruise in the Mediterranean, also offer 11-a-side fixtures in ports of call against local teams at their facilities.

Norwich born Steve Everitt, owner alongside his wife Karen, spoke of the benefits of their unique football offer: “What we provide really is a once in a lifetime football experience. In addition to skills development, players and their families receive a valuable cultural experience and an all-inclusive holiday, all-in-one."

Karen, originally from Seattle, added:Soccer@Sea is very proud to partner with Norfolk FA and we look forward to beginning this collaborative journey at Friday night’s Stuart Dracup Cup Final.  Best of luck to both teams!”

Marketing and Communications Manager at Norfolk FA, Rebecca Burton said: “We’re delighted to welcome Soccer@Sea ‘on board’ as one of our official partners. This partnership will enable us to offer further support to youth football in Norfolk as well as provide valuable business exposure to ensure Karen and Steve’s remarkable football offer is on show for all to see.”

Football Services Officer and Norfolk FA’s Cups & Competitions Lead, Thomas Constance added:It’s great to have an organisation like Soccer@Sea as a County Cup sponsor. They provide excellent football experiences worldwide and to have them involved in the Stuart Dracup Cup Competition will give this Friday’s Final some added exposure.”

The Stuart Dracup Cup Final sponsored by Soccer@Sea takes place on Friday 26 April 2019 at the Football Development Centre in Norwich with a 7.30pm kick off.
