The FA delivers an annual National Leadership Academy where young people from across the country attend. This year’s FA Leadership Academy will be welcoming two of our own young leaders from the Norfolk FA Youth Council as well as a member of our Football Development Team.

We would like to congratulate Harvey Newstead and Sam Hilling who have been selected to attend the Academy representing Norfolk.

They will be arriving at the National Training Centre for English football at St George's Park on Monday 22 July ahead of what will be an unforgettable experience.

Harvey Newstead, Norfolk FA Youth Council’s Chair said: “I was very pleased to be selected for this year’s FA Leadership Camp. I am really looking forward to attending and using this amazing opportunity to network with new leaders and to develop new ideas around leadership which will allow me to develop myself and others in the County.”

Sam Hilling, Youth Council’s Programme Officer said: “I am looking forward to attending this year’s Leadership Academy because it will push me out of my comfort zone. I will be forced into similar scenarios during Camp that I will face in my desired career pathway and line of work currently.

“I am also looking forward to staying at the St George’s Park complex and use their facilities whilst meeting new people from a range of County Football Associations across the country.”

Norfolk FA’s Football Development Officer, Harry Diggens will also be attending this year’s Academy as a Youth Leader Mentor. Harry said: “I am extremely pleased to have been invited to attend the Leadership Academy as a mentor again. I am looking forward to the challenge and being able to meet other inspiring individuals who make such a big impact within their local community. The week will be an unforgettable experience for Harvey and Sam, which will challenge them further and allow them to bring back learning to impact the next generation of youth leaders in Norfolk.”
