2023 COUNTY CUP FINALS ANNOUNCED

Norfolk County FA today released the dates of their annual County Cup Finals including those to be played at the home of Norwich City.

The big news is that the Norfolk Junior Cup Final will be returning to Carrow Road, after last being played at the venue in the 2018/19 season when Gorleston Reserves beat Sprowston Athletic 2-1.

The Norfolk Junior Cup Final will take place on Monday 22 May making it the last match in the programme of County Cup Finals. Both the Ashtons Legal Senior Cup Final and Harrod Sport Women’s Cup Final will also be played at Carrow Road on Thursday 18 May and Friday 19 May respectively.

These County Cup Finals will be played after Norwich City FC last home fixture, meaning that it will be a great opportunity to support grassroots football at Norfolk’s most prestigious football venue.

The other eight County Cup Finals will be hosted at Harrod Sport Arena at The FDC, Bowthorpe and will see the return of the popular ‘double headers’ with the John Savage Cup Final and Stuart Dracup Cup Final both taking place on Sunday 23 April, as well as the 4Work Primary Cup Final and Norfolk Intermediate Cup Final both taking place on Saturday 13 May.

Norfolk County FA Chairman, Michael Banham said: “We’re really thrilled about this year’s calendar of County Cup finals and hope that everyone will get on board in supporting grassroots football through to the end of the season.”

“Being able to play a County Cup Final at Carrow Road is something really special for all involved and we are extremely grateful to Norwich City Football Club for providing Norfolk Football with this fantastic opportunity.”

“With the Ashtons Legal Senior Cup Final, Harrod Sport Women’s Cup Final and Norfolk Junior Cup Final all being played at Norwich City’s home ground, this presents a real opportunity for spectators to attend Carrow Road to support local football! Harrod Sport Arena will again be hosting our eight other Cup Finals and we look forward to welcoming the Clubs and spectators to what will surely be a series of exciting and high quality matches.”

“I would also like to wish all remaining teams in County Cup competitions the best of luck and hope to see them at a final.”
