Giving back to the game

ever tried playing football without a referee?

It's difficult, right?

Refereeing is not about dishing out red or yellow cards every weekend - it's about playing a crucial role in helping football take place. From local grassroots football played in a park on a Sunday morning right through to the FA Cup Final, every football match needs a referee.

Remember, anyone can become a referee - all that's required is a real and genuine passion for the game. So whether you're a footy mad youngster looking for a career in the game, or an older pro that just wants to give something back once you're playing days are over, we'd love to hear from you.

All Refereeing enquiries should be directed to Harvey Newstead on 01603 704050 (Extension 1; Option 1, Option 3) or via email at Harvey.Newstead@NorfolkFA.com.

RefereeingĀ Support

Our referees are recruited, trained and examined to enable a smooth grassroots operation.  As they gain experience, further opportunities are provided to aid their development and progression. Appointments are made to all adult football fixtures in Norfolk, together with games in youth County Cup ties and
certain FA competitions.
