International Appointment for Norfolk's Harvey

We are delighted to announce that one of Norfolk FAs finest young Referees has been handed an international appointment.

Tom Harvey has been refereeing for just four and a half years and in that time has been promoted twice to Level 5 (Senior County Referee) status. He is just 19 and hails from Felthorpe in Norwich.

This season he has been working towards Level 4 status and has already refereed several games in the local Supply Leagues, Anglian Combination Premier Division and Thurlow Nunn Division One, performing exceptionally well on each occasion.

His inclusion in the National Centre of Refereeing Excellence Programme was a huge boost to him this year and it is through the exceptionally high standards he has demonstrated as part of this programme, that has yielded this appointment.

On Monday 19th December, Tom will take the field as an Assistant Referee for England U15s vs. Turkey U15s at St. George’s Park.

The Young Referee’s Group Chairman was delighted with his appointment - “Christmas will arrive for me six days early” he revealed, and he hopes the weather will stay fair to enable him to complete his mission.

All of us at Norfolk FA wish Tom good luck for the fixture.
