SSE Wildcats Clubs set to return

Norfolk FA is looking for local grassroots clubs, youth groups or multisport deliverers to express their interest in delivering an SSE Wildcats...

The Football Association and SSE have teamed up to deliver SSE Wildcats football clubs, which are designed to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved within the game.

SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Clubs provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls. In 2017, 200 clubs have been established across England throughout the spring and summer.

We are now looking for local grassroots clubs, youth groups and multisport deliverers who would be interested in delivering an SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Club. This is a great initiative to get local girls involved within the game in your area.

The initiative will be starting in spring 2018 and each club will last for a minimum of 16 weeks. As a deliverer of an SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Club you will receive £900.00 funding to support the delivery as well as 30 Nike footballs to use during these sessions.

The session can take place on a weekly basis, either after school or at weekends, subject to your availability. You will need to provide a safe environment where girls with no football experience can; have fun engaging with sport, develop fundamental skills, try a variety of sessions, learn new things and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport.

If you would like to express your interest in being a possible SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Club deliver please contact Harry Diggens (Girls & Womens Football Development Officer) via email Harry.Diggens@NorfolkFA.com or call 01603 704050 (option 1 then option 2).
