Norfolk County FA are delighted to announce that Utilita Energy have become an official partner to the association and a lead sponsor of The Football Development Centre (The FDC), Bowthorpe.

One of the fastest growing energy suppliers in Great Britain has signed a two year agreement with the local governing body which will see them become the sponsor of The FDC Youth Cup, Norfolk FA’s biggest tournament. Utilita Energy will also become a lead sponsor of The FDC, through acquiring the naming and branding rights to two 3G pitches at the facility.

In addition, the agreement will see Utilita Energy become the official preferred energy supplier to Norfolk FA at The FDC and at the Association’s County Headquarters in Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich; powering both venues with electricity and gas supply.

The partnership will be officially launched at this year’s tournament, now known as The Utilita Energy FDC Youth Cup, which is scheduled to take place on the 7th and 8th July.

Utilita Energy representatives will be present across the weekend to discuss how to assist people with the new, innovative smart meters that help to keep energy costs down. The supplier’s current collaboration with Norwich City FC is expected to bring a treat for the youth teams in attendance too.

Michael Banham, Chairman of Norfolk FA said: “Utilita Energy have fast become a household name and, having seen their branding associated to many professional football clubs, I’m delighted that they have chosen to become a partner to Norfolk FA and grassroots football.”

“Utilita is an organisation that is trying to make a difference and the work they are doing within the game across the UK is evidence of that. I look forward to working with them over the coming years and hopefully beyond.”

Jem Maidment, Director of Marketing & Communications said: "We are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting period within the Norfolk area – supporting grassroots football is something that is integral to the future of the beautiful game. It is fantastic to see the opportunities being provided by Norfolk FA and this partnership will only enhance development in youth football."
