VETERANS LEAGUE REVIEW
PREMIERSHIP
There was just one game in the Premiership with Mulbarton Wanderers now winning back to back games with a 4-2 win over Attleborough Town. The win sees them move off the bottom of the table and up to 7th place. Attleborough remain in 6th after 3 consecutive defeats.
CHAMPIONSHIP
North Walsham have won 2 consecutive games by 5 goals to 2 with the latest coming against Unthank Arms. North Walsham shared the goals with David Crabb, Stephen Lawrence, Colm McGilway and Christopher Roll all getting on the scoresheet. Dean Spary and Mark Brzeczek did score for Unthank Arms but it wasn’t enough as they remain 7th. Easton St Faiths have now won 4 out of their last 5 league games with the latest coming at home to Wensum Albion as they secured a 6-1 win. Roy Bevis grabbed a brace with Tim Wickham, Gavin Small, Rikki Knights and Lee Campbell all scoring one a piece. Easton have now moved up to 3rd and just 2 points behind leaders Thetford.
LEAGUE ONE
In League One Necton and Mundford Exiles were involved in a 15 goal thriller as Necton came out on top by winning 9-6! Andrew Ashby was in top form as he netted 4 times, Richard Allen scored a hattrick with David Howell scoring one. Andrew Kerling scored a hattrick for Mundford with Graham Peckham, Robbie Robertson and an own goal completing the scoring. Necton remain in 5th place after the win whilst Mundford Exiles stay 6th.
LEAGUE TWO
There were 3 games in League Two with Hethersett picking up 4 points from 2 of the games. They secured their 3rd consecutive win with a 2-1 win at Micawbers Tavern before drawing at East Harling 1-1. They now sit in 3 rd place just a point behind 2nd place Morley & Deopham. Newsman Valhalla won the big game at the bottom of the table by 3 goals to 2. Leo Dudley grabbed a brace with James Nicholson coming off the bench to grab the third. The win moves Newsman up to 5th whilst Erpingham remain bottom of the table.
