Norfolk U18's Manager Adam Gusterson is expecting a tough match against Gloucestershire in the FA County Youth Cup Semi-final fixture on Saturday 10 March (11:30am KO).

Norfolk have made fantastic progress in the competition so far this season, beating the likes of Jersey, Northumberland and most recently the Isle of Man in an enthralling encounter.

The Quarter Finals draw meant that Norfolk were to make lengthy trip to the Isle of Man which saw the visitors take the lead early on in the first half with Norwich CBS’ Lewis Johnson heading home a corner. Just when Norfolk looked set to hold on for a 1-0 win, the home side delivered a sucker punch as they equalised on the stroke of 90 minutes to send the game into extra time.

As extra time progressed, the more open the game became with tiredness setting in for both teams. Great Yarmouth Town’s Josh Ford whipped in a dangerous free kick that found Norwich United’s Charlie Hitch, who rose highest to flick home a wonderful header to give Norfolk the win.

With a place in the Final at stake, Gusterson is confident that his side can produce the goods when it matters most:

"We are very much looking forward to this game. The boys have done very well to get themselves into the Semi-finals and we are very much looking for a continuation of that in order to progress in to the Final.

"Our lads are a real honest bunch who work their socks off for each other and get along very well socially. It's this togetherness and will to win which has been evident within the performances this season.

"We obviously expect a very tough game against a side who have had some eye catching wins to get them to this point but I have every confidence that our lads will give everything they have to try and ensure it is us that reaches the Final."

The Semi-final will take place at the FDC Field of Dreams in Bowthorpe on Saturday 10 March. Kick off is 11:30am and entrance on the gate is priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
