Lynn Grove Academy lift this year’s Under 14 Caister Cup after beating Wymondham College by 3 goals to one.

With ten minutes played the deadlock was broken when Hunt met a cross from the left with his head. His powerful effort left the goalkeeper with no chance of preventing a goal.

Half Time – Wymondham College 0-1 Lynn Grove Academy

Lynn Grove doubled their lead with 11 minutes left to play when a forward latch onto a through ball from the back to calmly slot home past the on rushing keeper. Grove got their third minutes later when a well-crafted move down the left lead to a chance for Hills 8 yards out. He smashed the ball into the bottom corner leaving the keeper motionless.

In the dying minutes Wymondham got a consolation goal when they were awarded a penalty for a hand ball in the box. However, this was too little too late for Wymondham.
