The Women’s FA Cup returns to Norfolk Football this weekend and It's kids For a quid at Trafford Park!

This Sunday (1 September) three of our women’s teams will fly the Norfolk flag as they compete in the Preliminary Round of The Women’s FA Cup.

Wroxham Women are the weekend’s team to watch. The Eastern Region Premier Division outfit kick off their FA Cup campaign at their new home Trafford Park, where they will host to Kettering Town who play in the Midlands Regional Premier Division, a parallel league to the Yachtswomen.

Last season, under the banner of Acle United, the team reached the Third Round Qualifying and in previous seasons have made it to the First Round Proper. They will being hoping to have similar success in their new colours.

The game will kick off at 2pm and children’s entry is just £1.

Also in action this weekend is fellow Eastern Region Premier Division side Wymondham Town Ladies who will make the journey down the A14 to play against Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds Women who usually compete in the S-Tech Cambridgeshire Women’s Premiership. Wymondham also made it to the Third Round Qualifying last season and will be looking to start their campaign with a win.

Finally, Eastern Region Division 1 side King’s Lynn Town Ladies are back in the competition this season, and will travel to Haverhill Rovers Ladies FC who also compete in the S-Tech Cambridgeshire Women’s Premiership.

FA Women’s National League team, Norwich City Women will enter The Women’s FA Cup in the Third Round Qualifying which will be played late October.
