We are delighted to announce that we will be running our first ever Women’s Walking Football Festival on Saturday 29^th June between 11am-2pm, at The FDC, Bowthorpe.

The festival will be a relaxed, fun environment to enjoy a new adapted version of the game with a group of friends. The games will be 5-a-side and played on the 3G enclosed pitches. Entries are priced at £10 per team and you can enter a maximum squad size of 10. So if you enter a full squad, that’s £1 per player for a day of fun with your mates!

The festival is primarily aimed at those that have “retired” from the traditional faster paced 11-a-side game as well as those that never had the chance to get involved with football before. So, there is no previous footballing experience needed, just some enthusiasm to get involved!

Prior to the festival starting there will be a full briefing on the rules of the competition to explain the laws of walking football. The main differences from the traditional format of the game will be highlighted and clearly explained, including the laws around minimal physical contact, no offside rule and no running being allowed!

The team entry will also buy your team a goody bag which will include a bar voucher, sweets, details on future opportunities to play walking football as well as other items.

If you would like to enter but do not have a team to enter with, please still get in contact and we will look to arrange a team of individuals or offer to add you into any smaller squads that would like an additional player.
