Norfolk County Football Association are delighted to announce that Harrod Sport have become an official partner to the association and a supporter of grassroots football in Norfolk.
One of the world’s biggest sports equipment manufacturers has signed a three-year agreement with Norfolk County FA which will see them become a lead partner to the Association.
Harrod Sport, based in Lowestoft, are current providers to a multitude of Premier League Football Clubs, Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park. In addition to the English game, the organisation also supplies European giants such as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Paris St Germain.
They provided state of the art equipment for Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium including solidifying the venue’s capability to host Official NFL fixtures, such as the NFC South clash between Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers which took place last weekend. In addition, Harrod were suppliers to the London 2012 Olympics, Rio 2016, the Hockey World Cup and more recently have provided sporting equipment to the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
No strangers to giving back to local causes, The Ron Harrod Foundation was founded in 2018 by Harrod Sport to provide funding for sportsmen and women under 25 to help them compete. Named after founder Ron Harrod, the foundation awarded £5000 in funding towards local sports people in 2019. This included the sponsorship of a grassroots football team, Wroxham FC Women.
With the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2020) around the corner, Harrod Sport will be preparing to supply multiple stadia in preparation for the tournament. However, they will also be preparing to supply scores of grassroots facilities throughout Norfolk as news of the collaboration with Norfolk FA travels across the County.
The partnership agreement will see Harrod Sport give all Norfolk affiliated football clubs a 35% discount off the trade price of their full product range, along with free carriage. Providing a fantastic opportunity for local clubs to access the very best sporting equipment.
In addition, significant investment will be made into the improvement of Norfolk FA’s Football Development Facilities, creating an improved environment for all who utilise the centres for recreational football or team training.
Gavin Lemmon, Chief Executive of Norfolk FA said: “Harrod Sport are a globally recognised company and I’m delighted that they have chosen to become a partner to Norfolk FA. They are an organisation that is trying to make a difference; the formation of the Ron Harrod Foundation is evidence of that.
“Not only have they created a fantastic offer for our member clubs, their significant generosity towards improving our facilities has enabled a three-year improvement plan to begin across each of our FDC’s.”
Kevin Utton, Director of Sports Sales & Marketing at Harrod Sport said: "It is a great honour to everyone at Harrod Sport that we are able to announce our partnership with Norfolk FA. We have always looked to be involved in numerous sports across our local counties, and seeing the ever-impressive work that Norfolk FA carry out for the local game was a key reason for our partnership.
