Norfolk FA Statement: Discriminatory Abuse
NORFOLK FA STATEMENT ON DISCRIMINATORY ABUSE
Norfolk County Football Association strongly condemns all forms of discrimination, and like most of the Country, we are appalled by the online racism that has been aimed at members of the England Men’s Senior Team on social media.
We support The FA, and our fellow County FA’s in the request for Social Media companies to do more, as well as appropriate legislation being brought in to bring real life consequences to these actions.
As a County FA we know we must play our part in driving change, and we will continue to do all that we can to stamp out discrimination within Norfolk Football. We also join The FA in stating that those behind such disgusting actions, and those who choose to align themselves with such behaviour, are not welcome in our local game.
We would like to remind all of those involved in grassroots football to report any abuse they experience, or anything they see online. Reporting discrimination can be done through messaging our social channels, emailing Discipline@NorfolkFA.com, or anonymously via Kick It Out.
All of us at Norfolk FA would like to assure the Norfolk Football community that we will do everything within our powers to hold those who participate in such reprehensible behaviour, online or otherwise, to account.
