England Football launches Football Your Way

Marketing & Communications
A new campaign to help disabled footballers’ return to the sport and reclaim the moments they have missed.

England Football, The Football Association’s new home for participation and the grassroots game, is launching Football Your Way, a new campaign to help disabled footballers’ return to the sport and reclaim the moments they have missed, as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted across the country.

The campaign is funded by Sport England as part of the tackling inequalities funding programme.

What’s it all about?

If you’re a footballer living with disability, Football Your Way offers guidance and ideas for you to ease your way back into playing our wonderful game. The goal is to give you the inspiration to stay active and connected while at home while you get ready for your return to the pitch or court.

There’s something for everyone, from skill demonstrations, to challenges and downloadable resources for all abilities and ages. We’ve designed Football Your Way to help thousands of disabled players return to training and playing in a fun and safe way.

3-Step Challenge

To further inspire disabled footballers to get active, England Football has also launched the 3 Step Challenge. The challenge encourages players to design their own 3 Step Challenge to help prepare for their return to the pitch, by picking an activity based around the number three. For example, pick a ball skill or body movement. Then set some targets based around three, e.g. three minutes, three miles, three reps or 30 secs – anything with the number 3 in it.

Players are asked to upload their challenges here to be in with a chance of winning an array of prizes. More information on how to get involved and inspiration for challenge ideas are available on the Football Your Way portal.
