County Cup Draws to be made at huge Step 5 clash

We will be conducting live County Cup Draws tomorrow evening at Trafford Park where Wroxham play Gorleston in a top-of-the-table Thurlow Nunn League match.

The top of the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division is currently being dominated by Norfolk-based teams with Gorleston, Wroxham, Norwich United and Mulbarton Wanderers occupying the top four spots. The top two will reignite old rivalries tomorrow night at Trafford Park with Gorleston making the short trip to the Broads.

Norfolk FA will be in attendance and conducting their first on-the-road Cup Draws of the 2021-22 season. The Draws taking place are the Ashtons Legal Senior Cup, Norfolk Intermediate Cup and the 4Work Primary Cup. To view more about this season’s County Cups please click here.

The Yachtsmen will be looking to return to the top of the table and with a win they will do just that, whereas the Greens will be looking to extend their lead at the top to four points. Both sides have no problem with scoring goals as between them they have hit the back of the net on 96 occasions already this season, with Wroxham having scored 55 and Gorleston 41.

Wroxham FC Chairman, Lee Robson spoke to us about tomorrow night, Wroxham’s wider aspirations as well as his desire for silverware: “From a Chairman’s point of view, tomorrow’s fixture is huge really. It is important that we welcome a large crowd to Trafford Park, as we have had a good start to the season. We will aim to view this as just another game and to treat it like that, but of course it is a top-of-the-table clash, so it is always going to be exciting.

“From a wider view of the Club, from both Men’s sides, Women’s and EJA teams it has been absolutely fantastic in terms of achievement on the pitch as well as the foundations off it. Cup draws are really exciting, and it is a great initiative to have the Cup Draws out-and-about in Norfolk. It really gets people excited about the Cups!

“For the Senior Men’s team in the Ashtons Legal Senior Cup, we want to win it. It’s why I’m doing this along with my love of football and seeing people enjoy it. It is about having fun and you can’t have more fun than lifting silverware at the end of the season! This ambition goes the whole way through our Club, with our U12s and U16s winning County Cups last season and we will be aiming for a clean sweep with our Men’s and Women’s senior sides this year.”

To watch the Draws, you will need to tune into our Twitter channel at 6:45pm tomorrow. Click here to visit the Norfolk County FA Twitter.
