Norfolk FA is delighted to confirm that once again the Association’s facilities will play host to the Cup Finals of the Norfolk Combined Youth League, and that the soon to be completed FDC Arena will open this season’s series of fixtures. 

The NCYFL is Norfolk’s biggest youth league comprising of 569 teams, consisting of over 8000 players, that compete across 50 divisions.

Whilst 17 fixtures will be hosted at Norfolk FA’s rural Development Centre hub, TheFDC@Flegg, the remainder of the League’s finals will be on the brand new 3G AGP (Artificial Grass Pitch) at the Governing Body’s Football Development Centre in Bowthorpe, Norwich – The FDC Arena.  The Under 7’s & Under 8’s finals take place on the Wensum Print & Wembley pitches.

The fixture programme will include the Under 18’s Final on Friday 8^th April, which will be the inaugural game to take place on the new stadia pitch.  The following day, two Under 15’s finals will also take place on the FDC Arena, with the Under 16’s also playing on the new pitch in their two finals which take place on 24^th April 2022.

Norfolk FA Chief Executive, Matt Carpenter said: “We’re really pleased to be collaborating with the Norfolk Combined Youth League once again. Through working together, we can provide youth teams with a fantastic experience upon reaching a league cup final, and we hope that for those players competing in the first games on our new Arena pitch it will be even more memorable.”

The 21/22 campaign will mark the 6^th season that the League has worked closely with Norfolk County FA to host its cup finals at the Association’s Football Development Centres, and adds to an already positive relationship that continuously aims to further develop the grassroots game across Norfolk.

NCYFL Vice-Chairman, Chris Brown said: “We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with Norfolk FA with the use of the FDC Arena and the FDC Flegg for our Cup and Trophy Event finals. The venues are brilliantly equipped with the correct sized goals, pitches and well-maintained facilities.
