‘Do Blue’ this weekend with Norfolk and Waveney Mind

Monday October the 10th is World Mental Health Day and our Official Charity Partners, Norfolk and Waveney Mind are turning Norfolk and Waveney blue to raise vital awareness and funds.

On World Metal Health Day the following iconic buildings will be lit up in blue in support of this incredible event:

  • Norwich Castle
  • Blickling Hall
  • Great Yarmouth Town Hall
  • Thetford Council Offices
  • Assembly House, Norwich
  • Elizabeth House, Dereham

and lots of other exciting places…

We’re encouraging those involved in Norfolk Football to be part of the Do Blue campaign, both on World Mental Health Day itself, but also across this weekend of Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October.

Play your part in turning Norfolk blue by dressing in blue, dying your hair or beard blue, wearing a blue kit or warm up tops, or turning your clubhouse blue.

We’d love to see your posts on social media to raise awareness, and by getting involved you can also raise funds to donate towards supporting valuable mental health services.

Norfolk and Waveney Mind are Norfolk’s local mental health charity and while they are part of the Mind network, they are an independent charity and raise their own funds. It’s a challenging time for everyone at present but the cost of a morning coffee or even £1 can help the charity support the people of Norfolk and Waveney this Do Blue Day.

Each year the demand for Norfolk and Waveney Mind’s services increases as more and more people seek support for their mental health.

As Norfolk’s leading mental health charity, Norfolk and Waveney Mind support thousands of local people every year through a wide range of services and support programmes. From prevention support to crisis support, wherever somebody is on their mental health journey, Norfolk and Waveney Mind is there.

With up to 84% of people experiencing a mental health problem at some point in their lifetime, the need for good quality mental health support, advice and information is greater than ever before. By working together, we can build healthier, more resilient workplaces and communities.

Your support can make a huge difference, and together we can help make sure no one has to face poor mental health alone.
