Norfolk Hire becomes a Lead Partner to Norfolk FA
Norfolk FA is delighted to announce that Norfolk Hire Ltd has become a Lead Partner to the Association, supporting the grassroots game through multiple sponsorship agreements.
Situated in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk Hire is a family run Vehicle Rental business providing a friendly and reliable service to the public as well as commercial organisations both local and national.
Norfolk Hire will become the official sponsor of the Norfolk Senior Cup for the next three seasons as well as having a bespoke branded and named 3G pitch at Norfolk FA’s Football Development Centre in Bowthorpe, Norwich – The FDC.
The new partnership with Norfolk FA, which sees Norfolk Hire become a Lead Partner to the Governing Body for football in Norfolk, runs until the end of the 2025-26 season and will see Norfolk Football’s most prestigious County Cup competition renamed the Norfolk Hire Senior Cup.
As an organisation Norfolk Hire has shown previous commitment to supporting local football, through sponsorship of local teams as well as the 3G pitch at Norwich City Community Sports Foundation’s facility, The Nest.
Norfolk FA Chairman, Michael Banham said: “I’m delighted to welcome Norfolk Hire as the latest partner to Norfolk FA. Having seen their sponsorship of The Nest’s ‘Norfolk Hire Arena’ it’s testament to their desire to support grassroots football that they wish to extend their support to Norfolk Football’s Governing Body.
“This partnership will considerably support future developments at Norfolk FA and I’m excited to see this collaboration develop over the next three seasons."
Norfolk Hire Director, Lora Humphries said: “We are extremely delighted to be given the opportunity to support Norfolk FA and the Norfolk Senior Cup.
"Norfolk Hire has been a proud supporter of grassroots football for a number of years. We proudly sponsor local events and clubs across East Anglia at all levels of the grassroots game.
"We are looking forward to supporting the Norfolk FA in further development of grassroots football over the coming seasons.”
Offering state of the art facility space at low prices to grassroots clubs, Norfolk FA’s flagship facility – The FDC – boasts multiple 3G pitches that cater for all formats and a range of levels of the game, from training to mini-soccer to National League System fixtures.
Norfolk Hire will have their presence known at the facility moving forward, with their sponsorship of the front facing 3G pitch at the facility providing full scale branding. The Norfolk Hire pitch will be in use 7-days a week by a variety of players, from walking footballers to Access for Sport college students to U7 grassroots players.
Norfolk FA’s inclusive aims also see a diverse range of sessions take place at The FDC throughout the week, from Female Recreational sessions to Active Norfolk’s All to Play For sessions; from Match of the Dad’s weekly leagues to Women’s Walking Football turn up and play sessions.
Norfolk FA Head of Marketing & Communications, Rebecca Burton celebrated the partnership and its opportunity for impact: “It’s fantastic to be able to announce Norfolk Hire as a Lead Partner to Norfolk County FA. Their generous contribution to multiple areas of our operations will substantially support our strategic objectives for the future.
“This partnership marks a significant addition to a commercial portfolio that we’re extremely proud of – working with organisations that put local football at the forefront. Together we can make a difference to the grassroots game along with the individuals and communities involved in our wonderful sport.
“I’m excited to get to work in bringing this relationship to life through two very engaging and diverse avenues.”
Another key part of the agreement sees Norfolk Hire sponsor Norfolk FA’s oldest County Cup competition, the Norfolk Senior Cup, which began for 2023-24 with an inaugural Preliminary Round at the end of September.
With the first round of fixtures kicking off the following weekend, all eyes are now on the upcoming second round draw which will determine the list of November’s clashes.
Norfolk FA Chief Executive, Matt Carpenter spoke of the Senior Cup sponsorship: “The Norfolk Senior Cup is the oldest and most prestigious County Cup competition we operate as a County FA and it’s great to be able to confirm a sponsorship in which the company has a genuine care for both the traditional and modern grassroots game.
“With Norfolk Hire becoming a Lead Partner, and sponsoring two of our key assets as part of the agreement, the collaboration will offer fantastic exposure. While, as a not-for-profit organisation, the investment enables us to continue the work we do in key areas of the grassroots game.”
The second round draw for the Norfolk Hire Senior Cup will be held later today, with fixtures taking place on or around the 18th November.
Teams from Step 5 and 6 of the National League System will join the competition at this stage, seeing the likes of Dereham Town FC, Dussindale and Hellesdon Rovers FC and Great Yarmouth Town FC entering the draw.
Step 4 teams Gorleston FC and Wroxham FC are exempt once again and will join the competition in the third round along with Kings Lynn Town FC U23s and Norwich City FC U21s.
