International Appointment for Norfolk Match Officials

Norfolk County FA are delighted that two of our registered match officials were appointed by The FA to officiate England WU19's vs Germany WU19’s at St George’s Park on Tuesday 26th September.

Lorraine Catchpole took charge of the fixture as referee and was assisted by Alice Parker.

After receiving promotion to the PGMOL during the summer, Lorraine has started this season officiating on the Women’s Championship, as an Assistant Referee.

This appointment is another great achievement for some of the Norfolk-based female match officials, after Alice was an assistant referee last season for England WU18’s vs Republic of Ireland WU18’s and Anoushka Williamson was Fourth Official for England WU16’s vs Denmark WU16’s.

At Norfolk FA we are committed to support the recruitment and retention of female match officials, and this season we have recruited 11 new female referees with the female only referee course supporting this. This takes our total registered number of female referees to 37 and we are always welcoming female match officials to get involved with refereeing in #NorfolkFootball.
