22-23 FA Referee Courses
We are pleased to confirm the first set of dates for the 22/23 season’s FA Referee Courses.
After an excellent season of Match Official recruitment which saw 145 newly qualified Referees, we are looking to add to our existing cohort. So, if you’ve ever thought about taking up the whistle, book your place now.
Refereeing is a great way to keep fit, meet new people, stay involved in football, and earn a bit of additional income. Committed Officials can be rewarded with County Cup Final appointments and Refereeing can even become a viable career opportunity for those progressing up the promotion pathway.

The first course of the upcoming season will take place at The FDC, Norwich on Tuesday 5th and Saturday 9th July. This is coupled with a course at Downham Town FC taking place on Friday 8th and Sunday 10th July.
The FDC will also host courses in August and September, along with Great Yarmouth Town FC hosting a course for the East of the County between these dates.
Referee Development Officer Harvey Newstead said: “Last season's courses were a great success with 145 referees trained. Over 100 of those referees have completed their five matches and are now regularly officiating in Norfolk Football.
“It is really pleasing to be able to launch another 5 courses for people to take up the whistle and I am looking forward to supporting our next set of match officials through 2022/23 and beyond.”

The FDC – Tuesday 5th July, 6pm – 9pm and Saturday 9th July, 9am – 5pm
Downham Town FC – Friday 8th July, 6pm – 9pm & Sunday 10th July, 9am – 5pm
The FDC – Friday 12th August, 6pm – 9pm & Sunday 14th August, 9am – 5pm
Great Yarmouth Town FC – Friday 19th August, 6pm – 9pm & Sunday 21st August, 9am – 5pm
The FDC – Friday 9th September, 6pm – 9pm & Sunday 11th September, 9am – 5pm
