Referee coaching & match observing

Ever thought of becoming a Referee Coach or Match Observer?

By attending the appropriate workshop held annually at County Headquarters, you can gain the qualification you need to become a registered Norfolk FA Referee Coach or begin your journey to becoming a registered Norfolk FA Match Observer

Referee coaching
  • Affiliated to Norfolk FA as a Level 10 or Level 7 or above (or highest Refereeing Level was Level 7 or above)
  • In-date CRC disclosure held
  • Minimum 3 years Refereeing experience
  • Affiliated to Norfolk FA as a Level 10 or Level 7 or above (or highest Refereeing Level was Level 7 or above)
  • In-date CRC disclosure held
  • Minimum 3 years Refereeing experience
  • At least one Saturday or Sunday per month
  • Workshop attendance
  • £18 per completed development report is payable on a pro-forma invoice basis, three times during a playing season.

MATCH OBSERVING
  • Affiliated to Norfolk FA as a Level 10 or Level 5 or above (or highest Refereeing Level was Level 5 or above)
  • In-date CRC disclosure held
  • Minimum 3 years Refereeing experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the Laws of the Game
  • Ability to motivate officials whilst offering advice
  • Ability to present the relevant information in a report and transmit it by electronic means within 72 hour
  • At least one Saturday or Sunday per month
  • Workshop attendance; Successful completion of two match observation reports shadowing a qualified match observer (no expenses payable)
  • £25 per completed match observation report is payable on a pro-forma invoice basis, three times during a playing season.
